Did you ever sit in front of your screen and let out a big sigh, or worse uttered some PG rated words?
Yup, we all have. The frustration can become quite big, sometimes so much so, that you abandon what you were going to do. Which is worst case scenario. Imagine now, if you will, someone next to you showing you at a pace you’re comfortable with exactly step by step what to do.
Even better this person teaches you by observing what you’re doing and instead of interfering or doing it for you let’s you learn at your own speed exactly that which you want to learn at that moment.
Have you ever attended a workshop or training and needed a bit of extra time to catch up and never got it? Yup, that can’t happen if you learn with your own private trainer.
Having your own private tutor to learn computer skills? Wow, I hear you say. That’ll be great, but I can’t afford that.
Let me stop you right there. That last statement used to be true, simply because for a tutor or trainer to come to your place and give up their time would increase the actual time they use because of the travelling and so you’d have to pay for the unbillable portion of their time investment – the travel time. Or if you came to the tutor there are venue costs to consider.
This is no longer true – now training and tutoring on a personal level is available to you at a lower cost thanks to internet technology. A specific location or space is no longer needed.
Let’s say for example you’d really like to get a hang on this “facebook” thing. But taking out a day or even half a day for you to go to a workshop is very costly, finding a trainer and booking them is cumbersome and not easy to do, never mind expensive.
Now imagine a convenient and affordable scenario if you will:
you’ve decided you need some technological help on your computer and want to use my services. You simply click on the booking link and find a time that suits you. You can book 30 min slots, each at R175 only! Once you’ve done that you do an EFT (electronic fund transfer) or if you’re an international client I have a great exchange model available.
For the actual session you need to download a little mini program that allows me the trainer to see and access your screen (and vice versa) plus we need some communication help, best is Skype, but some or other chat works too and if all else fails there’s still this thing called telephone (I will phone you at your landline)!
And that’s all! For as little as R175 for 30 min you can get your own private training on any of the listed tools and programmes. In an hour private tutoring you get as much value – if not more – than in a 3 hour workshop.
A simple process
- Pick a topic you’d like to learn and master
- Choose a time slot that will work for you, increments of half hours (R175/$25 each)
- Wait for confirmation of the time slot from my side
- Do an EFT if you’re South African, or if you’re outside SA click here for payment options
- Have Skype set up (audio only)
- Download a little software I’ll use to access your screen
And you’re set to learn any of the following topics in your own time, at your own office/home, your own pace and exactly what you need at that point in time:

While I do use my windows based laptop from time to time, I am an Apple Mac fanatic and thus don’t offer Windows training myself. I do however have a great friend who does exactly that, her name is Debbie Laubscher and she runs a business called “Computer for Dummies” which offeres training on any Windows related programmes. Contact her on 082 459 5674 for excellent service and training. She too is available on- or off-line.
