Facebook for business

Are you using Facebook to reach existing and potential clients? Why not, they’re all there! From an experiment on campus to grandmothers staying in touch with their grandchildren Facebook has one extraordinary growth rate behind it. At the time of writing there are some 800,000,000 users registered on Facebook!

It didn’t take long for business to find a way onto this platform. This is a HUGE number of potential clients and having them all in one place, well that’s just extremely powerful. Facebook has also seen the need to help businesses market in a non-spammy way and have does put some very strict terms of service in place which can easily be violated if businesses don’t educate themselves on do’s and don’ts on facebook.

The worst mistake seen very often

For example, one mistake I see again and again is that businesses registering with facebook as a business. However this is not allowed. Only a private person can have a facebook account. This person can be the administrator of a page which is THE vehicle for businesses to play on this enormously big platform. The page and that person never have to be publicly linked, but they may. And pages have many advantages with regards to marketing.

If you’re feeling a bit in the dark, fear not! The first step is to identify if your market is on facebook, chances are they are. With those high usage numbers and incredible growth rates year on year there’s litte possibility that your potential clients aren’t on there already. Even in the B2B world facebook gains traction, although LinkedIn stays the favourite for that community – for the moment.

Once you’ve realised you or your business or product should be on there it’s time to get going. It can be very overwhelming and thus I’m happy to offer you the following incredible special.

Here’s a list of what I’m going to do for you:

• Page creation (if not already existing)
• Welcome landing page with fan/no-fan optional content, including 1 image, 1 text area and 1 extra widget (google map for example or download feature, etc)
• 12 months hosting of welcome landing page (this is hosted outside Facebook)
• Additional pages (e.g. newsletter sign up or product info) from an extra of R300 ($45/£30) per page
• R 500 ($75/£45)

All this at an all-time low rate of R 1,200 R 500 for a basic setup. More elaborate options are available upon request.
