You will understand how to navigate through the platform, what all the functions and features mean, how to use them best, what good business strategies are, what to say and what not, how ads work, competitions, how to get more likes, how to convert those likes to leads and clients and much more.

Bring your own laptop and preferably 3G card (wifi connectivity cannot be guaranteed). This is a hands-on practical workshop where you get to try out the things discussed right away.

Who is this best for?

Anybody wishing to learn the basics and advanced techniques of how to market on Facebook effectively.

What prior knowledge is necessary?

A basic understanding of how things work on Facebook. You will need to have used Facebook in a private capacity before and preferably have already a page set up but don’t know how to go further with it. (Please note, there is NO time to explain to you basic settings of your private Facebook profile, if you are unsure how to use Facebook in general please consider working through my online Facebook workshop for beginners first).

  • Anatomy of a business page and how to optimize it for search
  • Difference between wall and newsfeed
  • When and how your fans see your stories (understanding edgerank)

  • Understanding how, when and why to post as your page and/or as a private person

Bring your own laptop and preferably own internet connection otherwise we might end up with bandwidth issues. We cannot guarantee wifi connection for all participants. Please note that we will not be able to do extensive troubleshooting on any issues with connectivity, your computer or Facebook. We can sort out little things right there and then, but unless it concerns the entire group we will not be able to offer individualised help on the day. We will however give all attendants preferential rates for follow up individual troubleshooting and training sessions.

The groups for this workshop are being held small to facilitate individual attention.

Bettina and her team administrate over 40 pages on Facebook and run multiple marketing campaigns for different clients across various industries and sectors. She also brings a 25 year long experience as a marketer to the workshop which means that you not only learn the technicalities of how to do business on Facebook but you will also get insights on the how and why of doing so which have less to do with Facebook and more with general marketing.
